STARBASE ROBINS and the U.S. Patent and Trade Office have partnered to host an all girls STEM academy.

The event will be held at the Museum of Avation from June 17-28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The summer academy is for rising 6th through 8th grade girls.

The cost of the academy is $200, however, all girls that apply will receive a $150 scholarship to attend.

The academy is the result of a USPO review and findings from their study.

“The USPTO is particularly interested in invention, innovation and entrepreneurship programs that encourage participation of girls and underrepresented minorities, so I love the idea of spending 3 days with the STEM-powered Girls Summer Academy,” said Tanaga Boozer, Program Advisor, Office of Education and Outreach, United States Patent and Trademark Office.
