Featured Director - Brande Morgan

Brande Morgan grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She attended St. Vincent De Paul Elementary and North Side High School.  After high school, she joined the Air Force and was stationed at Charleston AFB, South Carolina for four years. Brande returned to Indiana where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) and is certified to teach middle school math and science. While attending IPFW she also volunteered with the First Lego League as a teamwork judge.


Brande Morgan has been with DoD STARBASE Indiana since its opening in 2012.  She started as a teacher at STARBASE Indiana - Fort Wayne and just 2 ½ years later she moved to Indianapolis as the Academy Director to set up and open Indiana’s second DoD STARBASE location. Brande is a strong supporter of STEM education and has made sure STARBASE Indiana – Indianapolis has had an impact through community outreach within the Indianapolis area. In addition to teaching 5th graders at STARBASE Indiana - Indianapolis, helping coordinate the STARBASE 2.0 program, Summer Camps and Community Outreach; Brande is currently serving in the Air National Guard in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  


While keeping up with her busy work schedules Brande made time for her family and continued her education, earning her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2018.  Brande has two daughters, Haley and Mackenzie.  Haley is a junior in high school.  She is on a competitive dance team and a JV member of the Avon Black & Gold Dance Team.  Her goal is to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become an elementary school teacher one day.  Mackenzie is in sixth grade.  She is part of the children’s band of Indianapolis and loves riding horses.  Her dream is to become a veterinarian and own a farm full of her own horses.  Both daughters love to help when they can at STARBASE.  Brande spends most of her free time with her family and friends.
